Meet the Board: Meet Michelle Ampong

Meet our Board Chair

Michelle Ampong serves many official and unofficial roles in her South East Atlanta neighborhood. As a neighborhood advocate, she supports a local tenants association as they advocate for healthier living conditions. As a community-focused neighbor, she learns and pases on courage, local knowledge and opportunities for doing more for neighbors who want to help, but don’t know how. As a Unite Flourishing Catalyst, she encourages partnerships and collaboration with local non-profits, individuals and Church leaders, especially with the goal of shedding light onto recurring issues and the systematic cracks that many of the vulnerable fall through.

And as an engaged mom, she co-educates her 2 elementary-age daughters with the teachers and staff of her neighborhood public school. Always looking for ways to help, she supports her children’s teachers and school’s staff with encouragement and physical support, advises school staff regarding community realities, and serves with the PTA, urging that group to continually consider and seek out families who often don’t participate.

And due to large demand in the Church in America, she co-founded and supports Shepherd & Stone Consulting, a company aimed at walking with Christ-following entities as they discover and incorporate the goodness that Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion efforts have for the Church. Now she is excited to join the Board of Blueprint58 as they are aligned in their shared desire to strengthen their community for God’s glory and for our neighbor’s flourishing.

All the above work requires credit – to the grace of God, to her supportive, wise, and calm husband and to the amazing village that has helped her to raise those 2 extremely different-from-each-other, glitter-loving, screen-queen girls.
